Madeleine received a B.S. in Chemistry from Bucknell University in 2021. During that time, they studied under Dr. Robert Stockland synthesizing and characterizing gold (I) catalysts. Since joining the McMahon group, Madeleine has focused on synthesis of astrochemically relevant molecules, as well as deuteration of molecules for structural determinations by rotational spectroscopy. Outside of research, Madeleine enjoys art, literary criticism, and playing video, board, and tabletop games.

Madeleine received their M.S. in 2023 and is currently a research specialist at the Wisconsin Reading Center at UW-Madison.
